A bathroom renovation can completely change the way you start and end your day. What was once a purely functional space can become one that feels calm, efficient, and intentionally designed for everyday living. This bathroom featured a unique layout with two separate vanities that needed thoughtful updates. While the space worked, the clients felt it was stuck in the ’90s and ready for a refresh. With smart design choices and improved functionality, this renovation unlocked the full potential of the space and elevated our clients’ daily routine in a meaningful way.
The Layout:
The existing layout included two separate vanities, a private toilet closet, a large built-in soaking tub with a tile surround, and a walk-in shower. While the footprint offered plenty of space, the shower itself was far from ideal; its low-hanging bar made showering uncomfortable, often causing them to bump their heads. Not exactly the relaxing experience a primary bathroom should provide.
The clients’ main priorities were improving functionality and modernizing the space. They wanted a larger, more comfortable shower and a freestanding tub to replace the bulky built-in version. By expanding the tub into the shower area, we were able to maximize square footage, create a more open feel, and achieve a cleaner, more modern layout that better supports their daily routines.

To bring the vision to life, we created a detailed mood board and 3D renders to help our clients fully visualize the transformation before construction began. The design focused on a bright, airy palette with soft light blues layered throughout the space to create a sense of calm and relaxation. These elements set the tone for a bathroom that feels serene, refreshed, and intentionally designed. The renders allowed our clients to see how each choice, from layout to finishes, would come together, giving them confidence and excitement as their future bathroom started to take shape.
