The season four finale of Unsellable Houses was an emotional one… our sons’ high school graduation and we helped our clients, Jamie & Amy, complete the transformation (and vision) their dad has started on his Woodinville split-level home. When Terry purchased this home over seventeen years ago, one of the things that really spoke to him was the wood paneling above the fireplace that stretched to the vaulted ceilings–which is exactly what inspired my true mid-century style.

Design Inspo & Materials
Overall Design + Entry
What we updated:
- All new interior paint on walls, trim, doors, and ceilings throughout (Sherwin Williams)
- Installed porcelain tile in entry (Arizona Tile, Digitalart, Mix Deco)
- All new light fixtures & hardware
- Installed luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring throughout (Homestead Flooring, Country Retreat)
Kitchen + Dining Room
What we updated:
- Opened up the layout by removing the coat closet between the kitchen and the dining room
- Painted the fireplace hearth to create a modern contrast between the exisiting wood surround (Sherwin Williams, SW-6258 Tricorn Black)
- New light fixtures & hardware
Kitchen
What we updated:
- All new high-end stainless steel appliances (Albert Lee Appliances)
- Installed custom soft-close cabinetry with brushed gold hardware
- Installed quartz countertops and textured porcelain backsplash (Arizona Tile, Digitalart, Blend Straight Stack)
- Added a stainless steel sink and faucet (Elkay)
Primary Bedroom + Ensuite
What we updated:
- Installed a walk-in shower textured porcelain tile shower surround (Arizona Tile, Digitalart, Blend Straight Stack)
- Installed tile flooring (Arizona Tile, Digitalart, Ecru)
- Added a custom luxury built-in closet system (Closet Creations Inc.)
- Installed new vanity, new light fixtures, and hardware
Hall Bathroom
What we updated:
- Installed textured porcelain tile shower surround (Arizona Tile, Digitalart, Blanco) and tile flooring (Arizona Tile, Digitalart, Grey)
- New light fixtures, vanity, and hardware
Exterior
What we updated:
- Painted the exterior, stairs trim, and front door (Sherwin Williams)
- Replaced the roof & the garage doors
- Refreshed the landscaping
