Women’s & Children’s Book Drive

On March 2nd we will be donating books to the Everett Gospel Mission: Women’s & Children’s center, which is the fastest growing segment of Snohomish County’s homeless population. Over 40% of the known 2,300 homeless people in our community are women, and there are over 800 homeless children in Snohomish County.

National Read Across America Day, also known as Dr. Seuss Day, was first celebrated on March 2nd of 1998.  This is a great opportunity for us to reach out to these women and children with a small gift.

The mission is the largest of its type in Snohomish County, and surrounding counties, and has been serving the community for 50 years. We have collected over 100 books for children ages 2 through 10 as well as inspirational books for women.

Each year, National Read Across America Day is celebrated on March 2nd, the birthday of Dr. Seuss. This day is a motivational and awareness day, calling all to celebrate reading and the joy of books.

If you are interested in being a part of this event you can donate a book, which we are happy to deliver & help encourage a child to read.  Contact us to arrange drop off.  In addition, we encourage you to check out ways you can donate time to the Everett Gospel Mission.
