Come decorate my 3 tier tray for fall!

The 3 tier tray is not only a staple in the Lamb & Co. storefront but also in my home year round. I love the elements of height the tray can bring to counters and tabletops, and I also love that I can hold so many of my “must need” items without spreading them all over the counter. For example, I always leave my salt pinch on my tray, seasonal glassware, votives, and other knick-knacks. Okay, maybe these are not all must-need items, but they are definitely my “really like” things!

First, let’s take a look at what my summer 3 tier tray looked like!

I love to add pops of color in summer, and adding greenery provides dimension to the tray. I use my summer glasses for a little bit of decoration, and let’s be honest, they are too pretty to just stick in a cabinet.

Now, what might really surprise you is how easy it is to transition to fall!

Now, I know this looks completely different, but what if I told you I really only changed three things?!

  1. I removed all of my summer glassware and replaced them with coffee mugs. I don’t know about your family, but my family is almost exclusively hot beverages in the fall and winter. Apple cider, hot chocolate, and of course, coffee are staples in my house, and having easy access to the mugs just makes sense!
  2. Next, I switched out the greenery for fall greens, wheat, and pumpkins. One of the things I look forward to most during this season is the colors and textures I can play around with. By removing all but one of the votive candles and replacing them with pumpkins, I added texture while giving it more of a fall feel. I also swapped out the remaining greenery in vases and replaced them with wheat for added dimension with height. I went ahead and added even more pumpkins to the tray, almost to overflow it. I feel like it makes it feel a bit cozier.
  3. Lastly, I switched the color of my dishcloths!

That is all! I mean, could it really get any easier!? Just a few quick changes, and you are ready to go! I mean, doing the entire switch took me all of 2 minutes, and I think it looks amazing, has a significant impact on the space, and makes it feel like fall is in full swing!
