Here is an opportunity to encourage your kids to work on their best hand writing skills. January 23rd is National Handwriting Day and LLR wants to celebrate by holding a fun contest for kids.
National Handwriting Day, an unofficial holiday, was started to re-introduce one’s self to a pen or pencil and a piece of paper. According to the Writing Instrument Manufacturers Association, it is a chance for all to re-explore the purity and power of handwriting.
CONTEST DETAILS:
Have your child draw a picture of your house, or a room in your home. In their very best handwriting have them write what they love about their home.
Post the picture on our FaceBook page, be sure to the page while you are there, and the winner will be chosen on the 23rd.

HISTORY:
January 23rd was chosen as National Handwriting Day, as this is the birthday of John Hancock, the first person to sign the Declaration of Independence.
