Seems like these days everyone has their preferred method of communication which makes for an interesting mix to our day when over 70% of it is spend talking, texting & messaging with clients. In real estate, especially, staying in contact is a vital part to a successful deal.
63% of buyers/sellers prefer to communicate through email, while only 17% prefer to use instant messaging & 20% through text messaging.
Just a few weeks ago we showed homes and even wrote a contract via Facetime. Our clients lived a few hours away and found it way more valuable for us to tour properties for them and Facetime when we found one that matched. We wrote an offer based off of what they had seen through our Facetime tour and came up for the inspection once we had mutual on the contract. Although this is not the way many people would want to house hunt, it was the perfect way to communicate for them.
Text message has gotten more and more popular over the last few years. Buyers/Sellers are busy during the day with work, kids, school and texting is an easy way to communicate allowing them to respond when they have time.
No matter what your style we would love to help in your buying or selling goals. Let us know how you like to communicate!
